The objective of the programme:
The objective of the programme is to prepare highest class specialists of theology, equipped with a deep theoretical knowledge relevant to the level of modern standards. They will be competent in generalizing and analysing theoretically research material of sources and deepen the knowledge, acquired in the Baccalaureate programme.
The educational programme provides preparation of a theologian-researcher with general and specialty competencies, relevant to contemporary standards and allowing them to solve topical problems in theology. The themes of the programme give a theologian theoretical knowledge, they improve and refine their skills of analysis and correct interpretation, with concrete theological processes considered.
The holder of the Master’s degree will have a wide and detailed knowledge of the Church Fathers’ lives and work, their epistolary legacy; They will be able to consider regional peculiarities and, also, to properly use various disciplines of humanities (History, Philology, Literary Critics, History of the Language and Art, Paleology, Anthropology, Philosophy, Law, etc.).

Knowledge and Cognizance
Upon the completion of the educational programme, the holders of the Master’s Degree will be equipped with deep and fundamental knowledge of Theology. They will have a wide knowledge of theoretical and research methods, used in their specialty and main regularities of its development. They will be able to impart their knowledge and research methods on audiences and on a wider society, orally and in written form.
The graduates will have a wide and deep systemic knowledge of theology based on the latest achievements of the science, which will allow them to conduct their work on the international level and take the adequate orientation through the objective perspective.
The graduates will have skills for writing scientific texts in their specialty and furnish them according to contemporary methods, giving justification in an academic form, evaluation of the others’ standpoints – their correct consideration and use of relevant vocabulary and language style in writing.
Skills for using the knowledge in practice
The graduates will be equipped with skills necessary while working on various types of sources. The Master of Theology will be competent in finding ways of solving complex problems, working out new research and analytical methods, approaches which are oriented on the creation of fresh knowledge. They will be able to independently conduct research using modern scientific and analytical methods, create theses and publications of high scientific value; they will be efficient in cooperating with specialists of the other fields of this science, analyze and critically evaluate the results of both their own and others’ scientific activities, as well; not only accumulate their knowledge but also impart it on others, draw up material of educational methods for individual disciplines on a high qualification level;
