Tbilisi Theological Academy and Seminary is a Non-Entrepreneurial (Non-Commercial) Legal Person with a system of three stages of teaching:
To all the specialties of the Baccalaureate of Tbilisi Theological Academy and Seminary are admitted only persons holding a legal document of the acquisition of complete general education – a school diploma, or persons of parity with them in the level of education consistent with the demands established by the relevant educational institution. The time span of the education is four years.
The only subject taken at the National Examinations is the Georgian Language and Literature. In the internal examinations the following subjects are taken:
Foundations of the Christian Doctrine (oral);
History of Georgia (oral);
A Foreign Language (a
test).
The applicants who will opt Iconography, Restoration of Easel and Monumental Iconography and Ecclesiastical Architecture, besides the aforementioned subjects, are to take an examination in drawing. (Task: an ornamentation in plaster. Materials: paper of a drawing format, a pencil. The size of the paper 43/30.)
In all subjects, the highest score is 100, the minimal positive score is 51.
To the entrance examinations of Master’s Degree Programme (Academy) of Tbilisi Theological Academy and Seminary are admitted only men holding the Bachelor’s Academic Degree.
The time span of the studies is
three years.

The mission of Tbilisi Theological Academy and Seminary is to prepare the staff of clergy and scientific personnel indispensable for the Church of Georgia and the Georgian Nation. Orthodox Christians, living a faithful life in the bosom of the Church, can become a student of Tbilisi Theological Academy and Seminary if they successfully pass the entrance examinations.
