Organized by the Department of Biblical Studies, weekly cognitive seminars continue. Today, November 18, Miranda Chiaberashvili, a second-year student of the Faculty of Christian Psychology, gave a speech on the topic: “The Martyrdom of Archdeacon Stephen and Its Exegesis” (the supervisor: Giorgi Todua, a teacher of the New Testament).
Noteworthy is the diligence exhibited by the student while working at the topic and selecting the relevant literature. She based her research on the attestation given in the Holy Scriptures (The Acts 7.51-60), and thoroughly analyzed the main aspects of the sermon of Archdeacon Stephen, the reason for his death penalty, the revelation of Jesus Christ at the time of his martyrdom and its spiritual meaning.
The seminar was attended by: Archpriest Giorgi Gugushvili, Head of the Department of Biblical Studies and the members and students of the same Department.
The speaker answered questions put to her comprehensively.
