On November 1, 2024, the second-year students of Christian Psychology and first- and second-year students of Christian Art Theory and History of Tbilisi Theological Academy and Seminary visited the Shalva Amiranashvili State Art Museum. The visit was part of the educational events – “Lectures in the Museum”. The students were guided by the Professor of the Department of History of Georgia, Dr. Eldar Bubulashvili.
They viewed artifacts of pre-Christian and medieval periods preserved in the Gold Fund - ancient icons, censers, frescoes brought from temples, jewelry, etc. In the ethnographic section, they got acquainted with the exhibits depicting the ancient culture of living of the Georgian people - military weapons and other equipment, items for work and household utensils. The students were particularly impressed by the artifacts of the ancient culture and civilization, displayed in the halls of the department of archeology. The students viewed with great interest the unique manuscript of John Zosimus (Ioane-Zosime) which dates back to 979, and other objects. The students listened with great interest to the stories brought to life by Dr. Eldar Bubulashvili, following the exhibits.
