A Weekly Seminar
Organized by the Department of Biblical Studies, a weekly cognitive seminar was held at Tbilisi Theological Academy and Seminary. Luka Khvedelidze, a second-year student of the Theological Seminary, presented his speech on the topic, titled – “The Final Days of the Earthly Life of Jesus Christ According to the Ecclesiastical Exegesis”. The supervisor of the topic was Archpriest Giorgi Gugushvili.
Luka Khvedelidze gave an interesting overview of the interpretations of those sections of the Gospel which refer to the Passion and Resurrection of our Saviour. Along with it, he analyzed individual episodes related to the same issue on the basis of translated homiletic, hymnologic and dogmatic texts.
The speaker gave comprehensive answers to the questions put to him by the audience.
The seminar was attended by: Vice-Rector of the Theological Academy and Seminary, Archpriest Besarion Tsintsadze, Doctor of History; Dean of the Theological Seminary, Priest Giorgi Vashalomidze; the assistant of the Head of the Department of Biblical Studies, Giorgi Todua.
