Today, June 28, at Tbilisi Theological Academy and Seminary,
Anano Qardava, a student of the Faculty of Christian Art Theory and
History defended her bachelor thesis, titled “Georgian Illuminated
Manuscripts Made in the Byzantine Style (XI-XIII centuries)”.
The members of the Dissertation Council were doctors of art
studies - Mariam Didebulidze and Nana Burchuladze. The session of
the defense of the thesis was attended by the Vice-rector of the
Theological Academy and Seminary, Doctor of history, Archpriest
Besarion Tsintsadze, the coordinator of the management of the
educational process Grigol Khachapuridze, the representatives of
the Department of Christian Art History and Theory and those of the
deanery of the faculty. The supervisor of the bachelor thesis was
Elene Machavariani, Doctor of Art Studies, and the expert was Nana
Burchuladze, Doctor of Art Studies.
