The administration of Tbilisi Theological Academy and Seminary
supported the
initiative of the Faculty of Christian Art Theory and History
to visit the monuments of Mtskheta Municipality, and the teachers
and students of this faculty made a trip to the Mtskheta
Region.
The program of the trip included a visit to
Nakalakari-Dzalisi, a monument of the classical period, as well as
a pilgrimage to the Temple of Archangels in Mchadijvari, the Temple
of the Mother of God of Tsilkani, the Temple of Saint George in
Kaloubani and
the Temple of Saint Barbara in Mtskheta.
The teachers talked to the students about the historical,
artistic and religious significance of these churches. The faculty
extend their gratitude to the administration for organizing a very
pleasant and professionally useful event for them.
