A Trip to Samtskhe
At the end of the academic year, a trip was organized in the
historical place Samtske. It had an educational purpose and was
planned on the initiative of the Dean’s Office of Tbilisi
Theological Academy. The students and teachers of the Academy
visited the historical churches located in the dioceses of
Akhaltsikhe and Tao-Klarjeti and of Akhalkalaki, Kumurdo and
Kari.
The Dean of the Theological Academy, Archpriest Ioane Kvanchiani, offered Akathist in the Nunnery of Saint Nino in Poka. The Pilgrims worshipped the exact analogue of the Turin Shroud and visited the monasteries in Vardzia and Sapara as well.
