An Exhibition Organized in the Workshop of Icon Painting
Today, May 31, at 2 p.m., an exhibition of students’ works was opened in the workshop of Icon Painting of Tbilisi Theological Academy and Seminary.
This workshop, headed by Doctor of History and an icon painter Mrs. Maka Chkhaidze has been functioning almost since the foundation of the academy.
The art of icon painting can be studied not only by the students of the seminary and academy, but by anyone interested in this art. Together with Mrs. Maka Chkhaidze, this important activity is led by the iconographer Mrs. Ketevan Khazhomia. At the end of each academic year, an exhibition is organized as a kind of annual account, and it is dedicated symbolically to the Day of the commemoration of Saint Nino.
This workshop, located on the first floor of the building of Tbilisi Theological Academy and Seminary, will host those who wish to view the exhibition for three days (including Sunday).
