Today, May 22, Tbilisi Theological Academy and Seminary has held the sectional work of the student annual scientific conference.
The participants of the conference worked in three sections: Theology, Ancient Georgian literature and History.
The section of Theology was headed by David Esebua, a second-year student of the Theological Seminary.
The speeches were presented by the following students:
1. David Esebua – A Wrong Rule of Giving Out Alms and the Divine Judgment (a theological analysis of Ecclesiastes 5.1-11) – a second-year student of the Theological Seminary, the supervisor - Master of Theology Giorgi Todua.
2. Demetre Gujabidze – The Historical Path of Catechization in the Early Christian Church – a third-year student of the Theological Seminary, the supervisor - Doctor of Theology, Professor, Archdeacon Demetre Davitashvili
The section of History was headed by Nikoloz Gergedava, a second-year student of the Theological Seminary.
The speeches were presented by the following students:
1. Bachana Aburjania – Michael Tamarashvili and the Problems of the Orthodox Church of Georgia in the 15th-17th Centuries – a second-year student of the Theological Seminary, the supervisor – Doctor of Historical Sciences and Theology, Professor Sergo Vardosanidze
2. Nikoloz Gergedava – The Trial of Saint Ambrosi the Confessor (the Catholicos Patriarch of All Georgia Ambrosi Khelaia) – a second-year student of the Theological Seminary, the supervisor – Doctor of Historical Sciences and Theology, Professor Sergo Vardosanidze
3. Abel Bogveradze – The Third Church Assembly of Gelati – a second-year student of the Theological Seminary, the supervisor - Doctor of Historical Sciences and Theology, Professor Sergo Vardosanidze
The section of Old Georgian Literature was headed by Saba Tsotsoria, a third-year student of the Faculty of Iconography and Restoration.
The Speeches were presented by the following students:
1.Miranda Chiaberashvili – The Spiritual Mission of Saint Grigol of Khantsda – a first-year student of the Faculty of Christian Psychology, the supervisor – Doctor of Philology Ketevan Mamasakhlisi
2. Luka Khvedelidze – Hymns Composed by Demetre-Damiane – a first-year student of the Theological Seminary, the supervisor – Doctor of Philological Sciences, Professor Lela Khachidze
3. Kakhaber Abuladze – Ioane Mtbevari and His Works – a first-year student of the Theological Seminary, the supervisor - Doctor of Philological Sciences, Professor Lela Khachidze
4. Monk Emanuel Kekelia – Hymns Composed by Ioane Minchkhi for the Fourth Week of Great Lent – a first-year student of the Theological Seminary, the supervisor - Doctor of Philological Sciences, Professor Lela Khachidze
5. Saba Tsotsoria – Religious and National Ideals in the Martyrdom of Abo of Tbilisi – a third-year student of the Faculty of Iconography and Restoration, the supervisor – Doctor of Philology Ketevan Mamasakhlisi
These speeches concluded the annual student conference of our educational institution to which, traditionally, two weeks from the spring semester are assigned.
