An Annual Student Conference
Today, on May 21, a plenary session of the annual scientific student conference was held in Tbilisi Theological Academy and Seminary. The Rector of Tbilisi Theological Academy and Seminary, Doctor of Theology, Philology and Political Sciences, Professor, Protopresbyter Giorgi Zviadadze gave a welcoming speech.
The Rector thanked the professors, teachers and students and said that the goal of the conference was to develop an ability of scientific thinking and orderly reasoning in our students. This is a good opportunity for each of them to present themselves as a young scientist and a researcher.
Speeches given by the students were followed by a question-and-answer session at the end of the conference.
The following students presented themselves to the audience:
1. Giorgi Donduashvili - Jesus Christ and the Woman Exposed in adultery (John 8.1-11) in church exegesis – The Theological Seminary, a second-year student, the supervisor - Doctor of History and Theology, Professor, Archpriest Giorgi Gugushvili;
2. Toma Jintcharadze - The Family of Saint Joseph the Betrothed in the Holy Scriptures and Holy Tradition – The Theological Academy, a first-year student, the supervisor - Master of Theology Giorgi Todua;
3. Dimitri Japaridze – The Feast of the Dormition of the Most Holy Mother of God According to Hymnal texts – The Theological Academy, a second-year student, the supervisor - Doctor of Philology and Theology, Academician of Gelati Academy, Professor, Archpriest Bidzina Gunia.
