The third-year students of the Faculty of Christian Art Theory
and History of Tbilisi Theological Academy and Seminary were given
a lecture on History of Icon Painting in the Golden Fund of the Art
Museum of Georgia.
The teacher of this subject, PhD Nana Burtchuladze showed a
newly opened exposition to the students. She spoke about the
masterpieces of medieval Georgian icon painting, their history and
artistic merits. Seeing in person the monuments of Georgian
spiritual and material culture made a great impression on the
students.
