Practical educational and cognitive events are an integral part of the educational
process of Tbilisi Theological Academy and Seminary.
On the initiative of the Head of the Department of Christian
Art Theory and History, Mrs.
Rusudan Vashalomidze a lecture on History of Georgian Art has
been delivered at
Anchiskhati Temple. The lecture was prepared for the
third-year students enrolled in the
Bachelor’s program of Theology.
Mrs. Rusudan Vashalomidze spoke about the history,
architecture and frescoes of the
temple, about the importance of restoration work. She noted
that in order to restore and
preserve the original appearance of the temple, specialists
should take into
consideration the overall material of old sketches,
photographs and measurements.
The lecture was very interesting and left the students deeply
impressed for they had
observed and learned significant particularities of the
temple.
