A Defense of a Dissertation Thesis
On February 15, 2024, Archpriest Besarion Tsintsadze, the Vice-Rector of Tbilisi Theological Academy and Seminary for the Educational and Administrative Fields, defended his dissertation thesis. The venue of the defense session was Saint Andrew the First-Called Georgian University of the Patriarchate of Georgia.
The topic of his thesis was Catholicos-Patriarch of Georgia Kalistrate Tsintsadze and His Scientific Heritage. Work on the dissertation was carried out in the field of history of the School (Faculty) of Humanities and Law of the University.
Doctor of History, Associate Professor Vakhtang Guruli was the supervisor of the thesis; Doctor of History Gvantsa Burduli and Doctor of History Merab Kezevadze were official reviewers. The qualification paper received the highest evaluation from the members of the Dissertation Council, and Archpriest Besarion Tsintsadze was awarded an academic degree of Doctor of History.
The defense of the thesis was attended by the Rector of Tbilisi Theological Academy and Seminary, Doctor of Theology, Philology and Political Sciences, Professor, Protopresbyter Giorgi Zviadadze, clergymen, professors, teachers and representatives of various universities and educational and scientific circles, also, the descendants of Catholicos-Patriarch Kalistrate Tsintsadze.
