The Students’ Week of survey of their scholarly activities
dedicated to the 91st birthday and the 46th anniversary of the
Enthronement of His Holiness and Beatitude, Catholicos-Patriarch of
All Georgia, Ilia II continues.
Archbishop Besarion Tsintsadze, Vice-Rector for the Educational and
Administrative Field, opened the second working day of the Week. He
spoke about its importance and wished the students success.
On December 12, Tbilisi Theological Academy and Seminary presented
works of the students of the Faculty of Christian Psychology. The
papers were supervised by the Head of the Department of Christian
Psychology, Doctor of Psychology Irma Khurtsia. The topic of the
presented works was A Human Being in the Process of
Socialization.
The moderator of the group was Jasmin Lomidze, a third-year student
of the Faculty of Psychology. After the presentation, Irma
Khurtsia, Head of the Department of Christian Psychology, spoke
about the process of the students’ work and the relevance of the
topic.
Gabriel Mdinaradze, a first-year student of the Seminary, helped
the students in providing the presented papers with visual
materials.
At 2:00 p.m., the students of the Academy held a presentation of
the topic - Melchizedek in the Old Testament (Gen. 14.18-20; Heb.
7.1-10) and Jesus Christ – As Melchizedek in the New Testament
(Heb. 6.13-20; 7.11-28), Parallels and Basic Exegesis. The papers
were prepared under the supervision of Giorgi Todua, a teacher of
the Department of Biblical Studies (the Head of the Department -
Archpriest Giorgi Gugushvili). The moderator of the group was Mirza
Chkholoria, a third-year student of the Faculty of the Academy. See
