On November 10, 2021, at Caucasus
International University, the Rector of Tbilisi Theological Academy
and Seminary, Protopresbyter Giorgi Zviadadze defended his
dissertation on the topic: “The Role of Religious Non-State Actors
in the Process of International Relations: The Realities of the
Clash of Civilizations in the Context of Geopolitical Transition”.
He was awarded an academic degree of Doctor of Political Science.
The scientific supervisor of the thesis is Doctor of Political
Sciences, Professor Vakhtang Maisaia, official reviewers are Doctor
of History, Corresponding Member of the Georgian National Academy
of Sciences Liana Melikishvili and Doctor of Political Science,
Associate Professor at Caucasus International University Tamar
Kiknadze.
The Defense Board was headed by
the Vice-President of the Georgian National Academy of Sciences,
Doctor of History, Academician Roin Metreveli.
The dissertation defense was
attended by the leadership of the University, representatives of
the diplomatic corps, members of the Parliament of Georgia,
representatives of academic and scholarly circles.
