Tbilisi Theological Academy and
Seminary collaborates with the higher educational institutions of
European countries. The objective of this partnership is to improve
the quality of teaching and research work, study and implement the
best international practice, promote the international mobility of
the academic personnel and students. The proof of the
aforementioned is the fact that Doctor of Theology, Professor in
Tbilisi Theological Academy and Seminary, Archpriest Bidzina Gunia
has lately visited Poland. His visit, which had been planned within
the Erazmus+Program, started from May 16 and ended on May 20. It is
the first visit payed by a representative of Tbilisi Theological
Academy and Seminary to Warsaw University of Christian
Theology.

We are pleased to inform you that
on May 16-20, 2022, within the framework of the Erasmus + Teachers
Exchange Program, Archpriest Bidzina Gunia, Professor of Tbilisi
Theological Academy and Seminary, visited our school. Father
Bidzina is professor in Gelati Academy of sciences as well. Gelati
academy is the educational institution, which continues the
traditions of the Theological schools of the Medieval
Georgia.
With the blessing of Metropolitan
Sabba, Father Bidzina offered an Akathist to the All Holy Mother of
God in SS. Methodius and Cyril Chapel of the Orthodox Cultural
Centre in Warsaw. The Akathist was offered in the Georgian Language
and was attended by the Georgian community.
Within the part of Dogmatic
Theology, which was supervised by Metropolitan Sabba, Father
Bidzina gave a lecture on the topic: “The Teaching on the Holy
Trinity and the Two Natures of Jesus Christ According to the Texts
on Hymnography of the Orthodox Church”.
Father Bidzina met with the
leading specialists of the Faculty of Theology, His Eminence,
Doctor and Professor Jerzy Pankrovsky and the Rector of Warsaw
Academy of Christian Theology.
The visit was the first one,
payed by a representative of Tbilisi Theological Academy and
Seminary to Warsaw Academy of Christian Theology.
