The Rector of Sapientia Theological College of Religious Confessions in Budapest, Professor, Priest Dr. Jákó Örs Fehérváry and the Vice-Rector, Professor, Priest Andres Guba are on a working visit to Tbilisi Theological Academy and Seminary (October 16-20).
On October 18, a memorandum of understanding between these two institutions was signed at Tbilisi Theological Academy and Seminary. This memorandum envisages scientific and educational cooperation between them. Tbilisi Theological Academy and Seminary was represented by its Rector - Protopresbyter Giorgi Zviadadze, and Sapientia College of Theology of Religious Confessions - by its Rector, Priest Dr. Jákó Örs Fehérváry.
The signing of the memorandum was attended by the deans of different faculties of TTAS, the heads of the departments and the representatives of the governing bodies of this institution. Within the framework of the aforementioned visit, several important working meetings were held between the representatives of TTAS and Sapientia Theological College.
The guests got acquainted with the activities of the Faculty of Ecclesiastical Architecture, Icon Painting, Restoration of Easel and Monumental Icon Painting. They met with the Dean of the Faculty, Archpriest Ioseb Vanidze, the Spiritual Father of the Faculty, Archpriest Shio Bakuria, the Head of the Department of Ecclesiastical Architecture, Archpriest Besarion Menabde and the Head of the Department of Icon Painting, Restoration of Easel and Monumental Icon Painting, Professor Merab Buchukuri. They also viewed the Students’ works: icons, architectural models, graphic sketches and canvases.
The guests visited the sights of Kutaisi, Mtskheta and Tbilisi. They viewed the exhibitions of the National Center of Manuscripts and the Art Museum where they got acquainted with important treasures of our culture and science.
